Va­le­ria “Val” Mae Goss passed away peace­fully on Sun­day, March 24, 2024, at The Charleston House in Beaver Dam.
Val was born the daugh­ter of Eric and Martha (Col­lien) Wag­ner on March 4, 1937, in Lomira.
She grad­u­ated from Lomira High School.
Val was united in mar­riage to William Goss on De­cem­ber 7, 1957, in Lomira. After they were mar­ried, the cou­ple moved to Farm­ersville and later to Fox Lake in 2000.
Val was in­volved with many small busi­nesses in the Mayville area.
She was a faith­ful mem­ber of St. Luke’s Ev. Lutheran Church in Knowles. Val was very cre­ative and en­joyed cro­chet­ing, cross-stitch­ing, and quilt­ing. She also en­joyed play­ing bingo. Above all, Val cher­ished and loved her fam­ily and looked for­ward to spend­ing time with them when­ever she could.
Val is sur­vived by her chil­dren, Dale (Deb) Goss, Dan (Pauline) Goss, and David (Judy) Goss; four grand­chil­dren; and six great-grand­chil­dren.
Val was pre­ceded in death by her par­ents; her hus­band, William; son, Duane Goss; sis­ter, Carol Wag­ner; and step-sis­ter, Lav­erne Vill­wock.
A vis­i­ta­tion for Val will take place on Mon­day, April 1, at the Koepsell Fu­neral Home in Mayville from 4 p.m. until 5:30 p.m. A pri­vate fam­ily fu­neral ser­vice will be held with Rev. Matthew Kuske of­fi­ci­at­ing. En­tomb­ment will take place at the Shrine of Rest Mau­soleum in Fond du Lac.
The fam­ily would like to thank the staff at the Charl­ston House As­sisted Liv­ing and Mem­ory Care as well as the hos­pice staff for all of their care they pro­vided to Val.
