Barbara J. Weyer

Barbara J. Weyer, née Rewolinski, of Slinger, formerly of West Bend, passed onto her eternal rest on Thursday, October 19, 2023 at the age of 90 years.

She was born February 8, 1933, in Milwaukee to the late Edwin and Irene (nee Zuromski) Rewolinski.

She married Daniel Weyer on October 16, 1954. They settled in West Bend and raised their four children.  Daniel passed away on March 22, 1977.

Barbara worked for the Washington County Sheriff’s Department for 22 years and retired in 1998. After her retirement, she traveled to various locations within the United States. She stayed active volunteering as a member of the Christian Women’s Confraternity at Holy Angels Catholic Church, the West Bend Lioness Club where she served on the board of directors for many years, and was also a member of the West Bend Women’s Bowling Association, serving as president.

Survivors include three children, Randy (Terry) Weyer of West Bend, John (Carrie) Weyer of Kewaskum, and Kelly (Sean) Sivrais of West Bend; daughter-in-law, Jane Weyer of West Bend; 13 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and her sister-in-law, Margaret Rewolinski of West Allis; along with relatives and many long-time friends.

She was preceded in death by her son, Jerry; her brothers, Richard (Judy) Rewolinski and Tom Rewolinski; parents-in-law, Ben and Rose Weyer; brothers and sisters-in-law, Jim (Ginny) Weyer, Dave (Dolores) Weyer, Mary Wolf, Ronnie Weyer, Betty (Delmar) Rottenbach, Bernie (Phyllis) Weyer and Rex (Ruby) Weyer.

Family will greet relatives and friends at St. Mary’s Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 406 Roosevelt Dr, West Bend, on Tuesday, October 31, from 10 until 11:15 a.m. with a Memorial Mass of Christian Burial to follow at 11:30 a.m. Burial will follow in Holy Angels Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the West Bend Lions Club or St. Mary’s Immaculate Conception Catholic Church.

The Schmidt Funeral Home of West Bend is serving the family.
