Marie Therese Schraufnagel at the age of 92, of LeRoy, died peacefully in her home surrounded by her family on June 6, 2022.   Marie was born July 2, 1929, in LeRoy. She was the daughter of Arthur Sr. and Marie (Hoffman) Krapfl.   She was married to Leonard A. Schraufnagel on September 10, 1949, in LeRoy.    Marie and her husband raised seven children on their family farm. In retirement, Marie served as a mentor and “Angel” to the St Andrew/St. Mary school children. She spent years making rosaries for the missions and Baptismal stoles for the infants. Her grandchildren knew her for her cookie jars that never emptied and the games she played with them the minute they came to visit. She rarely lost at cribbage, and she maintained, until the end, her love of her “card playing Ladies”.    She is survived by her children, Mike (Betty) Schraufnagel of Hillsbough, NJ, Carol Schraufnagel of Iron Ridge, John (Linda) Schraufnagel of Campbellsport, Jane (Bernie) O’Connor of Chicago, IL, Jenny (Ron) Youngbeck of Brownsville, Dale (Jackie) Schraufnagel of Ripon, and Warren (Cheryl ) Schraufnagel of Lomira; her 21 grandchildren and 30 great-grandchildren; one sister, Betty Bauer of Fond du Lac; and three sisters-in law, Margaret Krapfl of LeRoy, Mary Krapfl Hoffman of LeRoy, and Martha Cisler of Greenfield.   She was proceeded in death by her husband, Leonard; son, Pat; three sisters; two brothers; as well as multiple in-laws.    A visitation for Marie will be held at St Andrew’s Catholic Church, LeRoy on Saturday, June 18, 2022, from 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.    A Memorial Mass of Christian burial will take place at 11:30 a.m. The Reverend Father Tom Biersack will preside, and inurnment will be at St. Andrew’s Cemetery immediately following.    In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the St. Andrew Cemetery Association for shade trees.   Special thanks to her nieces and nephews for all of the love, care, and support shown to Marie and her family, as well as, Agnesian Hospice, CNA’s Patti Wells and Patty Clark, Ken Kunstmann and Marie’s neighbors.    Koepsell Funeral Home in Mayville is serving the family. www.KoepsellFh.com
