Marvin E. Heimermann

Marvin E. Heimermann


Marvin E. Heimermann, 89, of Fond du Lac, passed away peacefully on Friday, December 8, 2023, at Woodlands Senior Living with his loving family gathered around him. He was born on September 4, 1934, in the Town of Calumet, the son of Clement and Lena (Doern) Heimermann. Marvin served in the U.S. Army from 1953 to 1956. He was a sanitary engineer, operating his own trucks, and was the owner/operator of Rogersville Tavern during which Marvin gained many new friends. Marvin enjoyed camping, hunting, fishing and golfing.  Survivors include his children, his beloved friend, his grandchildren, his great grandchildren, his sister, nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.  Marvin was preceded in death by his parents, a son, a brother and a sister.  Visitation for Marvin will be Wednesday, December 13, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the Twohig Funeral Home, 305 Fond du Lac Ave, Fond du Lac.  A funeral service will follow Wednesday, December 13, at 12 p.m. at the Twohig Funeral Home, Fond du Lac. Burial will follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Eden with full Military Honors.  In lieu of flowers memorials are appreciated to the family.  The family extends a special thank you to the nurses and staff of Woodlands Assisted Living and SSM Agnesian Hospice.  The Twohig Funeral Home is serving the family with online condolences and guestbook at www.twohigfunerals.com.

Lyle Kent Hundertmark


Lyle Kent Hundertmark, age 87 of Fond du Lac, went to his heavenly home, Saturday December 2, 2023.  He was born on March 4, 1936, son of the late Russell and Sylvia (Schaumberg) Hundertmark.  On November 9, 1957, he married Alice Mary Whitty at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Eden.  Lyle farmed his whole life, in the Town of Eden.  He also operated a cattle-hauling business for many years.  In addition, he was a Pioneer Seed Dealer.  Spending time with family, including 16 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren, gave him great joy.  Fishing, telling jokes and visiting neighbors and friends, filled his spare time.  Skipper was his treasured companion.   Those left behind to cherish his memories are his wife, Alice, of 66 years; his 5 children, Dennis Hundertmark of Byron, Alan (Lori) Hundertmark of Eden, Joe (Julie) Hundertmark of Eden, Kevin (Kelley) Hundertmark of Byron, and Scott (Kirsten) Hundertmark of Elderidge, Iowa; brothers to Lyle, Donald, David and Richie Miller; grandchildren, Joshua (Crystal), Jeremy, Amy (Matt) Baumhardt, Brittany (Justin) Frisque, Quinn (Nicole), Reid (Christy), Toni (fiance’ Zac), Clay (special friend Lydia), Kayla, Amber, Austin (special friend Jennifer),  
Nick (special friend Toni), Samantha (Steve) Schonscheck, Soren, Chloe; and great-grandchildren, Dylan, Zoey, Brayson, Shaley, Noah, Jonah, Micah, Dawson, Liana, Mya, Gracie, Strenley.   Preceding him in death were his parents, Russel and Sylvia Hundertmark; his brothers, Wayne Hundertmark and Ken (Patrica) Hundertmark; his sister-in-law, Patricia Hundertmark; his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Laus and Francis Whitty; his brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Jim & Margaret Whitty and Wilbur & Darlene Whitty; and his grandson, Drew Hundertmark.  A private family service will be held at Shepherd of the Hills on Sunday,

Richard “Rick” John Ketter, 75, of Ripon, went to his heavenly home on December 5, 2023 at home. He was born April 12, 1948 in Fond du Lac, the son of James and Marjorie (Steinacker) Ketter of Campbellsport. He graduated from Campbellsport High School in 1966 and went on to earn an accounting degree from UW-Whitewater in 1970. After graduation, he moved to Ripon and began a 31-year career at Alliance Laundry (Speed Queen). In 1971, he married Julie Klima at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Fond du Lac. In 2001, Rick joined the Ripon Area School District to administer the 21st Century Community Learning Center grant that established the BRAVE program for the district. While serving in that capacity, he returned to UW-Whitewater and received a Master’s Degree in School Business Management. In 2005, he became the Business Manager for the Ripon School District, retiring from there in June, 2014. Rick was a very community-minded person and served on many boards and organizations. For over 25 years, he volunteered with the Junior Bowling Program in Ripon. He often took on leadership positions in his many volunteer groups, some of which were: Ripon Jaycees, United Way, Diverse Options, Early Bird Kiwanis, The East Central Benefit Tractor Cruise, and the Golden Rule Credit Union. He enjoyed working with people and they enjoyed working with him. He was always willing to listen and come to solutions that were beneficial to the majority. He was a faithful member of St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church (St. Wenceslaus) for 51 years where he served as an usher, was a CCD instructor and a member of the Parish Leadership Team, the Finance Committee and the Knights of Columbus. Rick was a very special husband, father, grandfather, and friend. He led a life of quiet service and caring that made significant differences in the lives of many. Those left behind to cherish his memory include his wife of 52 years, Julie; daughter, Billie (Christian) Muñoz of Neenah; son, Michael Ketter of Ripon; grandchildren, Nesto and Viviana Muñoz of Neenah; brother, Kenneth (Margie) Ketter of Fond du Lac; sister, Mary Jo Ketter of Safety Harbor, FL. Also surviving are his in-laws, Sandy Ilk of Oshkosh, Tim (Mary) Klima of Fond du Lac, Tony (Kathy) Klima of Hancock, and many other relatives, godchildren, and friends. Preceding him in death are his parents, James (1964) and Marjorie (2013) Ketter; his father and mother-in-law, Thomas and Vivian Klima; brother-in-law, James Stoffel; godson and nephew, Jim (Jimmer) Stoffel; and niece, Lindsey Klima. Visitation for Rick will take place from 11 a.m. - 2 p.m., Tuesday, December 12, 2023, at St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church 228 E. Blossom St., Ripon, WI 54971. A Memorial Mass for Rick will be held at 2 p.m., Tuesday, December 12, 2023. at St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church, with Rev. Robert A. Fictum officiating.
