Doris F. Way, formerly of Campbellsport, passed away Friday, May 6, 2022, at Touchstone Living Center in North Fond du Lac at the age of 94. Doris was born July 12, 1927, in the Town of Osceola to Ezra and Anna (Kutz) Galligan. Doris graduated from Campbellsport High School. Doris was united in marriage to Robert T. Way, Sr. on November 3, 1951, at Dundee’s Trinity Lutheran Church by Rev. Harvey Kahrs. They were married for 61 years. Bob died June 18, 2013.

Doris worked a number of jobs. but her best and favorite job was being a Mother. She worked at Regalware in Kewaskum for 24 years, retiring in 1989.

Doris also enjoyed gardening, camping, fishing, ring-a-word puzzles and Yahtzee. She could still add up her own score and beat you in a game up until two weeks ago.

Doris is survived by her three sons and two daughters: Henry (Anna) Way of Kewaskum, Phyllis (Ron) Kaehne of Campbellsport, Howard (Anh “Mi Mi”) Way of North Fond du Lac, Robert (Debbie) Way, Jr. of Fond du Lac, and Peggy (Roy) Demge of Briggsville; her grandchildren, Christopher (Sofia) Way, Craig (special friend Christina) Way, Melissa (Ray) Robinson, Kyle (Michelle) Kaehne, David (special friend Andrea) Cibulka, Tom Demge, and Jasmine Demge; great-grandchildren, Rhaiyana, AnaSofia, Danilyn, Gabriella, Brewer, Weston, and Ruger; and step-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren. Doris is also survived by her sister, Genny (Melvin) Stoffel; brother-in-law, Harry Way; sister-in-law, Jackie Galligan; God-children, Donna Wilson, Carol Butz, Barbara Rahmer, David Long and Mary Dombeck; along with many nieces, nephews, neighbors and friends.

Preceding her in death were her husband; parents; brothers, Donald (Virginia) Galligan, Levi (Donna) Galligan, Edward Galligan, Orville (Patsy) Galligan, Roy (Joanne) Galligan, James Galligan and infant brother, Marvin; and sisters, Mabel (Herb) Wehner, Ruth (Leo) Long and infant sister, Laura.

Visitation was Tuesday, May 10, from 3 to 6:30 p.m. at Immanuel Lutheran Church, 300 Helena St., Campbellsport, followed by funeral services at 6:30 p.m. at Immanuel Lutheran Church. Family entombment services were Wednesday, May 11, at the Shrine of Rest Mausoleum in Ledgeview Memorial Park, Fond du Lac.

The family extends a special thank you to the doctors, nurses and staff at the Hospice Home of Hope, St. Agnes Hospital and Touchstone Living Center for taking good care of Doris.
