Lawrence J. Bath

Lawrence J. Bath, 87, of Mayville passed away peacefully on Tuesday, March 25, 2020, at Prairie Ridge Assisted Living in Mayville.
Lawrence was born the son of Paul and Carolyn (Hefter) Bath on December 27, 1932, in Mayville.
Lawrence served his country honorably in the US Air Force as a propeller specialist on the island of Okinawa for two years during the Korean War and another two years stateside.
He was united in marriage to Myrtle M. Youngbeck on October 2, 1954, at St. Mary Catholic Church in Mayville.
He worked at Maysteel in Mayville in payroll as well as at TAB Products. He also worked as an auto mechanic and a courtesy driver for EVS in Mayville.
Lawrence was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church in Mayville. He was also a member of the Mayville American Legion Post #69 for over 67 years.
In his spare time, Lawrence enjoyed years of Up North vacations, time with his wife and family gatherings with his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Lawrence passed on his passion for nostalgia to those close to him.
Lawrence is survived by his wife, Myrtle of Mayville; his children, Kristine M. (Frank) Sperna of Appache Jct., AZ and Dale R. (Linda) Bath of Mayville; his grandchildren, Michelle (special friend Brad) Sampson, Rachelle (Evan) Gillen, and Kristina (Matthew) Juech; his three great-grandchildren, Maxwell, Olivia and Caroline; his sister, Margie (Bias) O’Brien of Lomira. He is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his sisters, Leola, Pauline, Veronica, and Virginia; his brothers, Herman, Eugene, Aloyslus, Anthony, and James.
A private family graveside service will be held at St. Mary Catholic Cemetery due to the current health regulations.
