March 29, 1894 Dodge County Pionier Our young jeweler John Stommel is establishing his business in New London. The iron mine at Neda is again in full operation. Between 75 and 100 men are to be employed, with James H. Cundy and his son in charge. The mine was reopened as a result of improvement in the price of iron. Our community needs a good inn where all the workers could get accommodations.
